In response to rising inflation, M50 toll rates are set to increase from 1 January 2026. The following new toll rates will apply:

From 1 January 2026, how will the toll changes affect M50 toll users?

  • Toll rates will change for all registered users (Tag and free M50 video account*).
  • There is no increase for cars not registered with a tag or free M50 video account.
  • Toll rates will change from some unregistered users:
    • By €0.10 for unregistered buses or coaches of more than 8 passengers, goods vehicles not exceeding 2,000kg, goods vehicles between 2,000kg and 10,000kg and goods vehicles exceeding 10,000kg.
    • By €0.20 for goods vehicles exceeding 10,000kg (including tractors and articulated vehicles) with video tolling and by €0.10 with tag tolling.

*M50 video tolling is perfect for infrequent users, offering a €0.60 saving on each M50 toll, automatic payments, and the convenience of not worrying about the toll payment deadline.

The M50 motorway is public infrastructure owned by the Irish State and administered by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). eFlow operates the M50 on behalf of TII.

Tolling is a vital source of funding for the operation and maintenance of the National Road Network.
